A couple of days ago I’ve received my time alignment rings for Yamaha NS-10M. The time alignment rings are a third party add-on, developed by Andreas Friesecke from Germany. The time alignment rings improve the room localisation and sound quality by adding precision to the timing between woofer and tweeter of the NS10’s. I’ve seen the time alignment rings mentioned by some studios from Germany.
The installation of the time alignment rings is quite simple but takes some technical skill: you first remove the woofers, use a soldering iron for uncabling. then put on the time alignment rings, re-solder the woofer. All screws and required material is delivered with the time alignment rings, the only thing you need by yourself is the screw driver and an soldering iron.
